Rapa Nui Projection Folkloric Group

The Rapa Nui Projection Folkloric Group dedicates itself in a free, responsible and passionate about the realization of RapaNui folklore based on the study of its history and culture through practical and theoretical learning of its expressions and traditions, thus seeking to spread said folklore in the most reliable and clear way possible, complementing it with our projected proposal. Since its inception the goal The main thing was the creation and realization of a Thematic Work, after a year of work constant, its Grand Premiere was held on May 5, 2019 at the Azares Theater. This work has by Name “Mai Hiva, mai te Kāiŋa” which means “From Hiva, the native land” and tells the History of the town of Hiva that suffers from the ravages of Nature forcing it to leave his island and look for another suitable one to live, thus finding the island of RapaNui. history that is power when told by a narrator who is a storyteller who immerses us in this imaginary, allowing us to know this story in another way, refreshing the visual and capturing the attention of the public of all ages. We are a group that difference due to the playful, dynamic and versatile style added to the floor design and the eye-catching of his choreographies that are of his own creation. As well as the own preparation of wardrobe that has been made under a strict study and search for island materials, being highlighted in each presentation so it has become a feature that we identifies in a positive way in each scenario we step on. Today we have 60 minutes of continuous presentation where we perform around 15 dances (similar al tamure and sau-sau), hokos (dance of warrior strength), Pata'u-ta'u (stories), Kai-kai (game of threads), Riu (Ancestral songs).
