“Viisuveeretajad”
The folk dance group Viisuveeretajad was founded in 1988. The capital of Estonia situating in Northern Europe, facing the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland. We have a four seasons climate – spring, summer, autumn and winter, which might seem a bit a challenge to southern people. With little over 1.3 million inhabitants and 45 300 km2, it Is not a big country, but includes 2222 sea island, ancient forest – full of berries and mushrooms, clear lakes, sandy beaches, bogs and marshes. Migratory birds come in the spring and leave in the autumn. It has a fascinating history.
Viisuveeretajad folk group was in visited to perform in many festivals in Estonia and abroad: Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Hungary, Turkey, Cyprus, Macedonia, Poland, Croatia, Romania and Nepal.
”Jandali”
The mixed dance group JANDALI has been dancing for 33 years and during this time over 70 dancers have belonged to the group. Our current instructor Valdeko Kalamees is the only one who has been dancing in JANDALI from the beginning. In addition to enjoying weekly trainings we traditionally take part in different local events and yearly local dance festivals. Sometimes we are asked to perform at private events like weddings. Our dancers are now 20-60 year sold but everybody tries to look young and energetic on the stage. We have performed in Sweden, Hungary, Germany, Finland, Belarus etc several times in.
