The dance ensemble “Gojus" was established in 1991. It has a long history of 30 years and uniting hundreds of dancers to represent a cultural heritage of Lithuanian folk dance. Throughout the years ”Gojus“ dance ensemble was representing Lithuanian folk dance tradition in many different festivals all over the world. The Dance group „Gojus“ comes from the small and beautiful town of Anyksciai, Lithuania. The name of the ensemble is symbolic: “GOJUS” means the most beautiful place in the forest, where magnificent trees and plants grow and the most beautiful flowers bloom. Equally colorful and different in character are the members of the ensemble: people of various ages, professions who are proud of their nationality and would like to show and share our Lithuanian culture all over the world. The ensemble pays a lot of attention to the authentic national costumes and folklore traditions, which reflect the spirit of the 19th century of Lithuanian traditions.
Dance group „Gojus“ also has a royal Renaissance program, with glamorous performances and music of the authentic Renaissance era. The showcase is incredibly unique because of outstanding 15th - 16th-century royal costumes, authentic music, and dancing. What is more, the dance group  „Gojus“ has an exact replica of the royal costume of the Queen of Lithuania.
