“Folklore is the image of the people that cannot be denied” C.I.D.A.N. CULTURAL ASSOCIATION MY PERU C.I.D.A.N. (Center for research and dissemination of native art) "Mi Peru" is a non-profit Cultural Association, founded on November 15, 1985, with recognition as such before the Ministry of Culture, dedicated to the promotion of music and dance of our country in various national and international events. Our goal as an organization is to contribute to national integration and development through art, researching and disseminating Peruvian folklore, to revalue our culture and preserve our identity. The association has the general direction of Master Anita Maribel Zapata Flores, a renowned teacher of folklore. And Master Martin Arauco Paredes with more than 40 years of artistic career, researcher, choreographer, jury and dance teacher, in artistic direction. As part of the development of permanent activities, cultural workshops are carried out for children and young people, as well as support in cultural presentations to various institutions. Likewise, in response to our activities as a cultural association, since 2008 we have organized the World Folklore Meeting “My Peru”, whose motto is “Uniting hearts of the world”. This event has the participation of invited delegations from countries around the world, who show their folklore through art in its different facets; all of them converge in our country with the purpose of offering a level show, in an atmosphere of camaraderie and cultural exchange, promoting education, solidarity, integration and peace.
